Learn to create your own stamped designs in this beginner workshop. Linocut is a printmaking technique where designs are carved into soft linoleum blocks (similar texture to erasers). Then ink is rolled out onto the carving and used to print. In this workshop, you’ll carve your own 4″x 6″ design (or a few smaller ones), then use it to create a custom tote bag or set of 4 greeting cards. Drawing skills are not required. We will have a variety of traceable motifs or you can create an abstract or geometric pattern if drawing isn’t your thing. Your stamp is re-usable and you’ll learn about the tools and processes to continue using your stamp or new ones you create at home.
This workshop is for ages 21+ and includes your first glass of wine, beer or mock-tail from the Two Fox Winery tasting room. You may bring your own food, or they have limited snacks available for purchase. This class is outdoors, but under a spacious canopy in a lovely garden setting.
